From our founder
Our founder’s story
It started with a friend.
She was single, wanted to meet someone, and didn’t know where to begin. We talked about it, and eventually thought, why don’t we create something ourselves?
Mostly for her, if I’m honest.
But that conversation became Offline Cupid.
I’m Apple, the founder. I believe the people we share our lives with make an enormous difference to how we feel about life itself. And however clever technology becomes, I can’t imagine it replacing the warmth of sitting beside someone who’s happy you’re there.
Meeting someone new takes courage. There’s the wondering whether to go, the walking into a room, the figuring out who to talk to. I wanted to make that part easier, with a warm welcome, thoughtful introductions, and enough structure to help conversations begin, with room for a little spontaneity.
From the beginning, my hope has been simple. Even if you don’t meet someone special, you leave thinking, “I had a good time. I’m glad I came.”
Because an evening can still mean something without becoming a love story. You might meet a friend, have an unexpectedly good conversation, or feel a little more confident about trying again.
Of course, I hope some of those first conversations become something bigger, like love, a shared life, perhaps a family. That possibility means a lot to me.
I can’t promise where a connection will lead. But I can put care into how it begins.
