Data Deletion
Updated 2026-07-03
Offline Cupid provides a Delete my data flow for participant devices.
This page explains how to request deletion and what data is deleted or retained.
Delete from inside the app
Open the app, go to /app/account/data_deletion, and confirm Delete my data.
The app anonymizes your participant profile and attendee personal details immediately, revokes this device's event access, clears the participant access cookie, and schedules deletion of the revoked device/profile records after a short safety window.
What remains
Shared event records stay as anonymized event history so other attendees' matches, selections, and feedback remain intact.
Operational logs, security records, backups, and records needed for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons may be retained for the period required for those purposes.
If you cannot access the app
Email [email protected] with the event name and the contact details you used at check-in.
Support will use those details to locate the participant record and help complete deletion or explain any event-safety restriction, such as an active live round that must finish first.
External services
If your event information originally came from a connected external ticketing service, app deletion prevents that imported personal data from being restored into the app.
You may still need to contact the external ticketing service or event organizer separately to delete data they hold outside this app.
